WAER and the ARTEZ PHOTOGRAPHY DEPARTMENT will on regular basis start organizign workshops together! In May this includes both a DSLR Film Scanning Workshop and A Color Film Developing Workshop.

For the DSLR Film Scanning Workshop you are welcome at ARTEZ in Arnhem on May 21st at 17.00. In a relaxed atmosphere with some drinks and friends, you'll learn various ways of digitizing film on a budget without a scanner. You're invited to bring your own developed film that you would like to scan. The workshop is entirely free!

For the Color Film Developing Workshop you are welcome at ARTEZ in Arnhem on May 22st at 17.00. This is your chance to save money on developing your film and learn how to do it for free at home! What is included:

• You learn how to develop film, using the required chemicals and equipment.

• You learn tricks that will help you with general analogue photography.

• You learn how to use the secret ARTEZ darkroom with all the equipment needed for developing.

• All materials to practice and develop your film with during the workshop.

• A portion of chemicals to continue developing at home and a roll of expired film to experiment with.

Do make sure to bring your own roll of film that you wish to develop.

Due to the required chemicals and material the price for this workshop is 75 euros.

Sign up now for free poetry and analogue photography workshops! In collaboration with WERKWARENHUIS and HUIS73, WAER is organizing a short series of workshops related to analogue photography and poetry. This is leading up to our first physical print! Because of that, the theme for these workshops is also ENIGMA. To showcase the end results from the workshops, each participant will have their works exhibited! 

The (English) poetry workshop will be given by JEROEN VAN WIJK on the 11th of May and the analogue photography workshop will be given by KAJETAN ONISZK on the 25th of May. Each workshop will combine both theory and practice; teaching you about the basic and more advanced elements of each artform, and then letting you put them into practice. 

The exhibition will combine results from the workshops from each participant, showcasing poetry and photography side by side. It will take place at the WERKWARENHUIS, where we will open on the 7th of June at 13.00, so make sure to put it in your calendars! The exhibition will be on view on the 7th and 8th of June between 13.00 - 18.00. On the same days, inside and outside the building, you can also enjoy Tramkade Festival, as well the Design market on the 8th of June.

Both workshops and the participation in the exhibition are entirely free. For the photography workshop we also supply everyone with a roll of film which we develop for you. If you have your own (35 mm) camera we ask that you bring it, but if you don't have one, please let us know in advance, so we can lend you one!
